Bonnie Kathleen Connelly Clifton passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, following a courageous battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and faithful servant of God whose warmth, generosity, and dedication touched countless lives.

For 34 years, Bonnie served as a devoted teacher in the Vista Unified School District, shaping the minds and hearts of generations of students. Her passion for education did not end with her retirement; she continued her calling by helping homeschool four children, sharing her gift for learning and mentorship with standard patience and care.

Bonnie’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a deeply active and cherished member of Arise Presbyterian Church until the very end, living out her faith daily through service, fellowship, and love for her community.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Clifton; her daughter, Dr. Lesley Clifton; her son, Dr. Michael David Clifton, and his wife, Jessi; and her adored grandchildren, Maverick and Ava, who brought immense joy to her life.

A memorial service celebrating Bonnie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Arise Presbyterian Church, gathering at All Saints Episcopal Church, located at 651 Eucalyptus Ave., Vista, CA 92084. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Children are welcome and encouraged.
